TERRITORY DESIGNATED "IRVINE'S SUBDIVISION
ANNEX NO. 1 - REVISED'.'
WHEREAS, on September 16, 1963, the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited
territory by Resolution 63-158, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law and gave notice of a protest
hearing to be held November 4, 1963, which hearing was regularly
held; after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it
was ~ound and declared by Resolution 63-168 that a majority
protest had not been made.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory
hereinbelow describedwas uninhabited at the time Resolution 63-158
was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City
of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the
City existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at an angle point in the Santa Aha City boundary,
established as the Northeast corner of land annexed to
Santa Aha by Ordinance No. NS-64, said point being at the
intersection of the center line of Dyer Road with the West
line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way as con-
veyed to the Santa Aha B~ilroad by deed recorded in Book 13,
page 9, Deeds, Records of Orange County, California, said
center line of Dyer Road being on the South line of the
Northwest Quarter (N.W.%) of Section 30, Township 5 South,
Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence
departing frc~ said City boundary North 1° 44' 42" East,
50.00 feet to a line parallel with and distant Northerly
50.00 feet, measured at right angles frc~ said center line
of Dyer Road; thence along said parallel line South 88° 15'
18" East, 660 feet, more or less, to an angle point in land
conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded in
Book 6049, page 720, Official Records of said Orange County;
thence North 66° 11' 53" East, 45.11 feet to a line parallel
with and distant Northwesterly 237 feet, measured at right
angles, frc~ the North-west line of Irvine's Subdivision, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said Orange
County, said Northwest line being on the center line of
Newport Avenue; thence along last said parallel line North
40° 39' 12" East 247.35 feet; thence South 88° 15' 18" East
350 feet, more or less, to a point in the Southeast line of
Newport Avenue, said Southeast line being 30 feet South-
easterly, measured at right angles frc~ the center line of
Newport Avenue; thence along said parallel line North 40°
39' 12" East, 1,918 feet, more or less, to an angle point in
land conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded
in Book 6009, page 427, Official Records of said Orange
County; thence along the boundaries of said land described
in said last mentioned deed, the following five courses,
South 49° 20' 48" East, 16 feet to a point on a line that
is 46 feet Southeasterly, measured at right angles, from
the center line of Newport Avenue; thence along said last
mentioned parallel line, North 40~ 39' 12" East, 950 feet;
thence South 67~ 34' 11" East, 372.71 feet; thence South
58~ 06' 37" East, 328.17 feet; thence North 40~ 39' 12" East,
50 feet to a point in the Northeast line of Lot 97 in
Block 9 of said Irvine's Subdivision; thence along said
Northeast line South 49° 20' 48" East, 1,890 feet, more
or less, to a point in a line that is parallel with and
distant Northwesterly 30 feet, measured at right angles
fro~ the center line of Redhill Avenue; thence along said
parallel line South 40° 39' 12" West, 5280 feet, more or
less, to the Southerly corner of Lot 115 of Block 9, of
said Irvine's Subdivision; thence North 49° 20' 48" West
1290 feet, more or less, along the Southwest line of said
Lot 115 to the Westerly corner of said Lot 115; thence
North 40° 39' 12" East, 1,320 feet, more or less, along
the Northwest line of said Lot 115 to the Southerly corner
of Lot 107 of said Block 9; thence North 49° 20' 48" West,
1,290 feet, more or less, to a point on a line that is
parallel with and 30 feet Southeasterly, measured at right
angles, from the center line of said Newport Avenue; thence
along said last mentioned parallel lane South 40" 39' 12"
West, 1,190 feet, more or less, to a point that is distant
Northeasterly 130.88 feet, measured at right angles, from
the Southwesterly line of Lot 116 in Block 9 of said
Irvine's Subdivision and to an angle point in the Santa
Aha City boundary as established by Ordinance No. NS-320;
thence along said City boundary West 39 feet, more or less,
to a point on the center line of Newport Avenue and to the
Northeast corner of land annexed to the City of Santa Ana
by Ordinance No. NS-102; thence continuing along said City
boundary as established by Ordinance No. NS-102, and along
the Easterly extension of the North line of the Seccombe
Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 8, page 89 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County, North
89° 13' 55" West, 110.93 feet to a point on the West line
of said Southern Pacific Railroad right of way, and to the
Southeast corner of land annexed to the City of Santa Ana
by Ordinance No. NS-64 and to a point in a non tangent curve
concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 1126.28 feet, a
radial to said curve at said point bears North 61° 39' 40"
West; thence Northeasterly along said curve and along said
City boundary, through a central angle of 17° 27' 20", an arc
distance of 343.13 feet to a tangent line; thence along said
tangent line and along said Ordinance NS-64 boundary, North
10° 53' 00" East, 767.49 feet to a tangent curve concave
Westerly and having a radius of 1126.28 feet; thence along
said curve and continuing along said Ordinance No. NS-64
boundary, an arc distance of 203.13 feet, through a central
angle of 10° 20' 00" to a tangent line; thence along said
tangent line and along said Ordinance No. NS-64 boundary,
North 0° 33' 00" East; 52.83 feet to the point of beginning,
be and the same is ~hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to
Ward No. 2 in the said City, and said annexation is by this ordinance
effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957
and 1958 Annexes".
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6~h~'~ day of !januaiT~, 1964.
