OF THE PLARI~ING COMMISSION AND AMENDING
ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE
TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION' ON AMEND-
MENT APPLICATION 480 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 26-5-10 IN ACCORDANCE WITH
~XHIBIT AA 480 A
WHEREAS, the Planning Co~mission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 480, filed
by BURROUGHS CORPORATION and ANTON H. SEGERSTROM, ET AL., for a
change in District classification from the M-1 District to the
C-i, C-2, R-4 and R-1 6000 Districts, and said Commission reco~L,~ended
approval of reclassification from the M-1 District to the C-i, C-2
and R-1 Districts in accordance with Exhibit AA 480 B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the decision of the Planning Commission
should be overruled; that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments and that the uses
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
of Orange, State of California, described as:

Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the
Pacific Electric Railway Right of Way as shown on a map
recorded in Book 45, Page 17, Record of Surveys of said
Orange County, with the easterly line of the Orange
County Flood Control District Channel right of way; thence
northerly along said easterly line tO a point in a line
parallel with and 400 feet northerly from said north line;
thence easterly along said parallel line 780 feet, more or
less, to a point in a line parallel with and 400 feet
westerly from the west line of B~tstol Street as shown on
said map; thence northerly along said parallel line 3,300
feet, more or less, to a point in a line parallel with and
700 feet southerly from the south line of Warner Avenue
as said south line is shown on said map; thence westerly
along said parallel line 355 feet, more or less; thence
northerly 760 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Warner Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of
Warner Avenue for a distance of 455 feet, more or less;
thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 360
feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line approxi-
mately parallel tolthe center line of Warner Avenue for
a distance of 340 feet, more or less, to the center line
of Bristol Street; thence southerly along the center line
of Bristol Street for a distance of 2630 feet, more or less;
thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Segerstrom Avenue for a distance of 190 feet,
more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Bristol Street for a distance
of 384 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Segerstro~
Avenue for a distance of 190 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Bristol Street; thence southerly along the
center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 830 feet,
more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance
of 231 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Bristol Street
for a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to the center
line of Talbert Avenue; thence westerly along the center
line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of 748 feet, more
or less; thence northerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Bristol Street for a distance
of t00 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified fr~n the M-1 District to the R-4 District,
and Sectional District Map 26-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 480 A.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL
Beginning at a point on the center line of Bristol Street
located 2,990 feet, more or less, southerly from that
point where the center line of Bristol Street intersects
the center line of Warner Avenue; thence westerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Segerstrom
Avenue for a distance of 190 feet, more or less; thence
southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Bristol Street for a distance of 384 feet, more or
less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Segerstrom Avenue for a distance of
190 feet, more or less, to the center line of Bristol
Street; thence northerly along the center line of Bristol
Street for a distance of 384 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the C-1 District,
and Sectional District Map 26-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 480 A.
SECTION 3: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL
Beginning at that point where the center line of Bristol
Street intersects the center line of Warner Avenue; thence
southerly along the center line of Bristol .Street for a
distance of 360 feet, more or less; thence westerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Warner
Avenue for a distance of 340 feet, more or less; thence
Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 360 feet,
more or less, to the center line of Warner Avenue; thence
easterly along the center line of Warner Avenue for a
distance of 340 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the C-2 District,
and Sectional District Map 26-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 480 A.
SECTION 4: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 4:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Warner Avenue
located 795 feet, more or less, westerly from that point
where the center line of Warner Avenue intersects the
center line of Bristol Street; said point being the
northwesterly corner of Parcel 1 hereinabove described;
thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Bristol Street for a distance of
760 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Warner Avenue for a
distance of 355 feet, more or less; thence southerly along

a line approximately parallel to the center line of Bristol
Street for a distance of 3,300 feet, more or less; thence
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of 780 feet, more or
less, to the easterly line of the Orange County Flood
Control District Channel; thence northerly along the easterly
line of said Channel for a distance of 4,217 feet, more or
less, to the center line of Warner Avenue; thence easterly
along the center line of Warner Avenue for a distance of
780 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified frc~ the M-1 District to the R-1 6000 District,
and Sectional District Map 26-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 480 A.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
frc~u and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of January, 1964.

and adopted by said Council by the following vote, to wit:
