SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 485
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAPS 25-5-10
AND 36-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 485 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 485, filed
by YORBA INVESTME~£ COMPANY for a change in District classification
from the A-1 District to the R-1 District, and said Commission has
recommended approval of said reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the southerly boundary
line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way
intersects the westerly boundary line of the Orange
County Flood Control Channel; thence southerly along
along the westerly boundary line of said Flood Control
Channel for a distance of 3655.8 feet, more or less,
to a point located 1131.6 feet, more or less, northerly
from the center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of
573.5 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line
approximately parallel to the westerly boundary line of
said Orange County Flood Control Channel for a distance
of 3331.6 feet, more or less, to the southerly boundary
of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way; thence
northeasterly along the southerly boundary of the
Pacific Electric Railway right of way for a distance of
660.2 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-1 District,
and Sectional District Maps 25-5-10 and 36-5-10 are hereby amended
to show said reclassification.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of April, 1964.
