ANNEX"
WHEREAS, on March 2nd, 1964, the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by
Resolution 64-25, which said Resolution found and declared that the
annexation proceeding was initiated by a petition signed by the
owners of all of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed,
and which said Resolution was published in accordance with the
requirements of Government Code Section 35310.1, and setting a
protest hearing for March 16, 1964, which said hearing was regularly
held in accordance with the terms of said Section 35310.1.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN'£A ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory
was uninhabited on March 2nd, 1964, was contiguous to the City of
Santa Ana and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City
existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2: That all of the territory in the County of Orange,
State of California, and described as:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the "West Santa Ana
Annex" to the City of Santa Ana as adopted by Santa Ana
City Ordinance NS-367, said point lying on the intersection
of the Westerly right of way line of the former Newbert
Protection District Channel for the Santa Aha River with
the North line of the South One-half (S.½) of the South
One-half (S.½) of the South One-half (S.½) of Section 15
in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian, and running thence West 400 feet, more or less,
along said Santa Aha city boundary to the Southeast corner
of the Northeast Quarter (N.E.~) of the Southwest Quarter
(S.W.~) of the Southwest Quarter (S.W.¼) of said Section 15,
and to an angle point in the original city boundary of the
City of Fountain Valley; thence departing from said Santa
Aha city boundary and running South, 1300 feet, more or
less, along the most Easterly boundary of said City of
Fountain Valley and along the East line of the South One-
half (S.½) of the Southwest Quarter (S.W.~) of the
Southwest Quarter (S.W.~) of said Section 15, and its
Southerly prolongation to an angle point in said Fountain
Valley city boundary and to the Southeast corner of the
North One-half (N.½) of the Northwest Quarter (N.W.~) of
the Northwest Quarter (N.W.~) of Section 22, in Township 5
South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian;
thence departing from said Fountain Valley city boundary
and running East 100 feet, more or less, along the South line
of the North One-half (N.½) of the North One-half (N.½) of
the Northwest Quarter (N.W.¼) of said Section 22 to a point
on the West line of said Santa Aha River Channel right of
way; thence North 14° 01' 06" East, 790 feet, more or less,
along said right of way line to a point in a tangent curve
concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 22,718.33
feet; thence along said curve and along said right of way
line, an arc distance of 550 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
Ward No. 5 in the said City, and said annexation is by this
Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation
of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City -
1957 and 1958 Annexes".
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AI~D ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of April, 1964.

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 16th day of ~rch, 1964, and was again con-
sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 6th day
of April, 1964, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted
by said Council by the following vote, to wit:
