SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIOk~ON ~MENDMENT APPLICATION 492
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 24-5-10
(EXHIBIT AA 492 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 492, filed by
ARCHDIOCESE OF LOS ANGELES EDUCATION AND WELFARE CORPORATION, a
California corporation, for a change in District classification from
the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and said Commission has recom-
mended approval of said change according to Exhibit B which provides
for 90 feet of R-2B zoning along the easterly and southerly boundaries
of the property being rezoned; and
W~EREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments and that the use
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: rl~nat the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Edinger Avenue
located 190 feet, more or less, easterly from that point
where the center line of Edinger Avenue intersects the
center line of Bristol Street; thence easterly along the
center line of Edinger Avenue for a distance of 381 feet,
more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Baker Street for a distance
of 1235 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of St. Andrew
Place for a distance of 571 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Bristol Street; thence northerly along the
center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 820 feet,
more or less; thence easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Edinger Avenue for a
distance of 190 feet, more or less; thence northerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Bristol Street for a distance of 410 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclas-
sification in accordance with Exhibit AA 492 B.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
CoUnty of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 2:
Beginning at that point on the center line of Edinger
Avenue located 90 feet, more or less, westerly from that
point where the center line of Edinger Avenue intersects
the center line of Baker Street; said point being the
northeast corner of Parcel 1 hereinabove described; thence
southerly along the easterly boundary of said Parcel 1 and
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Baker Street for a distance of 1235 feet, more or less;
thence westerly along the southerly boundary of said
Parcel 1 and along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of St. Andrew Place for a distance of 571 feet,
more or less, to the center line of Bristol Street; thence
southerly along the center line of Bristol Street for a
distance of 90 feet, more or less; thence easterly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of
St. Andrew Place for a distance of 661 feet, more or less,
to the center line of Baker Street; thence northerly along
the center line of Baker Street for a distance of 1325 feet,
more or less, to that point where the center line of Baker
Street intersects the center line of Edinger Avenue; thence
westerly along the center line of Edinger Avenue for a
distance of 90 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the R-2B District,
and Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 492 B.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha,
at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of April, 1964.

the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 6th day of April, 1964, and was again con-
sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 20th day
of April, 1964, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted
by said Council by the following vote, to wit:
