SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIONS ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 496
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 7-5-9
(EXHIBIT AA 496 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application 496, filed by
MARVIN and RUSSELL ROHRS for a change in District classifications
from the R-l, R-2, and C-1 Districts to the C-4 District, and said
Commission has recommended approval of said reclassification in
accordance with Exhibit AA 496 B, which provides for R-lB zoning
along the southerly and easterly boundaries of the subject property;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: 'I~at the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Seventeenth
Street intersects the center line of Grand Avenue; thence
southerly along the center line of Grand Avenue for a
distance of 535.5 feet, more or less; thence easterly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Seventeenth Street for a distance of 733.5 feet, more or
less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of
535.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of Seventeenth
Street; thence westerly along the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 733.5 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-i, R-2, and C-1 Districts to the
C-4 District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to
show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 496 B.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:

Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue,
said point being located 535.5 feet, more or less,
southerly from that point where the center line of Grand
Avenue intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street;
thence southerly along the center line of Grand Avenue
for a distance of 75 feet, more or less; thence easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line
of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 808.5 feet, more
or less; thence northerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance
of 610.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Seventeenth Street; thence westerly along the center line
of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 75 feet, more or
less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Grand Avenue, the same being the
easterly boundary of Parcel 1 hereinabove described, for
a distance of 535.5 feet, more or less; thence westerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Seventeenth Street, the same being the southerly boundary
of Parcel 1 hereinabove described, for a distance of
733.5 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the R1-B
District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 496 B.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
frOm and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July, 1964.

the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 15th day of June, 1964, and was again considered
by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July,
1964, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted by said
Council by the following vote, to wit:
