SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 498
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-9

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 498, filed by
The Broomell Corporation and George A. Gulick for the purpose of
prezoning proper~y in the County R-P and R-4 Zones to the City of
Santa Ana C-2 District, and said Commission has recommended APPROVAL
of said prezoning; and
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of May, 1964, said territory was
annexed to and became a part of the City of Santa Ana and thereupon
became classified as A-1 (General Agricultural District); and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding territory.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of First Street
located 557.7 feet, more or less, westerly from that point
where the center line of First Street intersects the center
line of Tustin Avenue; thence westerly along the center line
of First Street for a distance of 643.5 feet, more or less;
thence southerly for a distance of 766.4 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of First Street for a distance of 643.5 feet,
more or less; thence northerly for a distance of 766.4 feet,
more or less, to the center line of First Street and the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the C-2 District,
and Sectional District t~4ap 17-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 498 A.
SECTION 2: 'i"nat this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July, 1964.
