SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENTAPPLICATION 499
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9
(EXHIBIT AA 499, ALTERNATE 1 A) WHERE THE
PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 499, filed
by R. A. DIEDRICH for a change in District classification from the
R-1 District to the R-4 District, and said Commission recommended
DENIAL of said reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require the reclassification of said property
from the R-1 District to the R-4 District in accordance with
Exhibit Alternate lA, and that the use under the new classification
will not be detrimental to the surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point that is 330 feet, more or less, south
of the center line of Santa Clara Avenue and 100 feet west
of the center line of Hathaway Street; thence southerly
330 feet, more or less; thence easterly 40 feet, more or
less; thence southerly 630 feet, more or less; thence west
15 feet; thence south 75 feet; thence easterly 51 feet,
more or less; thence southerly 215 feet, more or less;
thence westerly 594 feet, more or less; thence northerly
1254 feet, more or less, along the easterly right of way
of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad; thence
easterly 518 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-4 District,
and Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 499, Alternate 1 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day~,Df August, 1964.

and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by the following
