ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 518, FILED BY RICHFIELD
OIL CORPORATION, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 7-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 518 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application 518, filed by
RICHFIELD OIL CORPORATION for a change in District classification
from the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and said Commission has
recommended approval of said reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Seventeenth
Street located 60 feet, more or less, easterly from that
point where the center line of Poinsettia Street intersects
the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence easterly
along the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance
of 130.4 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Santiago
Avenue for a distance of 147.3 feet, more or less; thence
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 82.7 feet,
more or less, to the Santa Ana Freeway Right~f Way; thence
northwesterly along the Santa Aha Freeway Right of Way for
a distance of 70.4 feet, more or less; thence northerly
for a distance of 99.9 feet, more or less, to the center
line of Seventeenth Street and the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the C-5 District,
and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 518 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of November, 1964.
