HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-908ORDINANCE NS-908 AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTIONS 9210.37.5 AND 9210.37.6 TO PART 1 THEREOF AND ADDING SECTION 9244.1 TO PART 4 THEREOF TO PROVIDE LANDSCAPING PROVISIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Sections 9210.37.5 and 9210.37.6 to Part 1 of Chapter 2 thereof to read as follows: Section 9210.37.5. Landscape. Any yard or other open space which is purposely designed to create an aesthetic environment composed of plant materials and/or other decorative elements such as fountains, ponds, sculptures, walls, fences, and planters. Section 9210.37.6. Landscaping. The act of providing landscape as defined in this Part. SECTION 2: That Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Section 9244.1 to Part 4 of Chapter 2 thereof to read as follows: Section 9244.1. Landscape. W~ere a landscape, as defined in Part 1 of this Chapter, is required by the provisions of this Chapter, said landscape shall be continuously maintained by proper pruning, mowing of lawns, weeding, removal of litter, fertilizing, replacement of plants and decorative materials when necessary, and the regular watering of plants. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
