HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-923ORDINANCE NS-923 AMENDING SECTION 9271 OF PART 7, CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO REVISE THE FUTURE RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF SEVENTEENTH STREET BETW~.F.~ OLIVE AND BUSH STREETS AND ADDING SECTIONS 9271.1 THROUGH 9271.29 WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning Commission has recommended that the future right of way lines be revised between Olive and Bush Streets; and WHEREAS, after hearing before the City Council, on notice as required by law, said Council determined that said future right of way lines should be revised and that the Santa Ana Municipal Code should be amended to show such revision; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Section 9271 of Part 7, Chapter 2, Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read in words and figures as follows, and Sections 9271.1, 9271.2, 9271.3, 9271.4, 9271.5, 9271.6, 9271.7, 9271.8, 9271.9, 9271.10, 9271.11, 9271.12, 9271.13, 9271.14, 9271.15, 9271.16, 9271.17, 9271.18, 9271.19, 9271.20, 9271.21, 9271.22, 9271.23, 9271.24, 9271.25, 9271.26, 9271.27, 9271.28, and 9271.29 are added as follows: SECTION 9271. Future Riqht of Way Lines Established. Future Right of Way Lines are hereby established and re- established along certain streets and portions of streets within the city as hereinafter set out, and no person shall erect, move in, or structurally alter any building or structure between said Future Right of Way Lines and streets, respectively; however, nothing herein is intended to prohibit the construction or erec- tion of a hedge, masonry wall, or fence, provided said hedge, masonry wall, or fence meets with the requirements of the District within which it is located and all other provisions of this Chapter. SECTION 9271.1. Seventeenth Street (Westminster Avenue). (1) On both sides, 52 feet from center line, between Euclid Street and College Avenue. (2) On both sides, 50 feet from center line, between College Avenue and Olive Street. (3) On both sides, 52 feet from the center line, between Olive Street and the East Corporate Limits. SECTION 9271.2. (1) (2) (3) (4) Washington Avenue from Flower Street to Grand Avenue. On the North side, 30 feet from the center line, between Flower and Bush Streets, except the area extending from the center line of Broadway to a point 183 feet easterly. On the North side, 35 feet from the center line, from Bush Street to the Santa Ana Freeway. On the South side, 40 feet from the center line, between Flower and Bush Streets. On the South side, 35 feet from the center line, between Bush Street and Grand Avenue. SECTION 9271.3. Flower Street. On both sides, 40 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line, between the survey center line of Seventeenth Street and the survey center line of Pine Street. SECTION 9271.4. Fifth Street. Between Harbor Boulevard and Western Avenue, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. -1- SECTION 9271.5. Grand Avenue (McClay Street). (1) Between Santa Clara Avenue and Fourth Street, on both sides, measured 45 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) Between Fourth and First Streets, on both sides, measured 45 feet from and at right angles to the master plan center line as shown on Public Works Depart~ent file 1-85-5 drawings. (3) Between First Street and Chestnut Avenue, on both sides, measured 45 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (4) Between Chestnut Avenue and McFadden Avenue, on both sides, measured 45 feet from and at right angles to the master plan center line as shown on Public Works Department file 1-1-5 drawings. (5) Between McFadden Avenue and Warner Avenue (Delhi Road) on both sides, measured 45 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (6) All streets intersecting Grand Avenue from Santa Clara Avenue to Warner Avenue (Delhi Road) shall have 25-foot radius property line spandrels. SECTION 9271.6. Hazard Avenue. On both sides, between Harbor Boulevard and Ward Street, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.7. McFadden Avenue. (1) On both sides, between Harbor Boulevard and Ward Street, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) On both sides, 42 feet from the survey center line, between a point 1320.3 feet East of the center line of Ward Street and a point 660 feet East of the center line of Ward Street. (3) Between the Santa Ana River and Fairview Street, on both sides, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (4) Between Fairview Street and Clara Street, on the North side, measured 54 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (5) Between Fairview Street and Clara Street, on the South side, measured 30 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (6) Between Clara Street and a point 211 feet East of the center line of Clara, on the North side, beginning at a point on the center line of Clara Street 54 feet North of the center line of McFadden Avenue and extending Easterly to a point 42 feet North of the center line of McFadden Avenue and 211 feet East of the center line of Clara Street; and, on the South side beginning at a point on the center line of Clara Street 30 feet South of the center line of McFadden Avenue and extending Easterly to a point 211 feet East of the center line of Clara Street and 42 feet South of the center line of McFadden Avenue. (7) Between Broadway and a point 211 feet East of the center line of Clara Street, on both sides, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of McFadden Avenue. (8) Between Broadway and Main Street, measured on both sides, 40 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of McFadden Avenue. (9) Between Main Street and the East Corporate Limits, measured on both sides, 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of McFadden Avenue. SECTION 9271.8. Raitt Street. (1) On both sides, between Fifth Street and McFadden Avenue, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. -2- (2) On the West side, between McFadden and Warner Avenue, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (3) On the East side, between McFadden Avenue and Edinger Avenue, measured 29 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (4) On the East side, between Edinger Avenue and a point 1313.87 feet South of the survey center line of Edinger Avenue, measured 34 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (5) On the East side, between a point 1313.87 feet South of the survey center line of Edinger Avenue and Warner Avenue, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.9. Newhope Street. On both sides, between proposed Garden Grove Freeway and Slater Avenue, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.10. Edinger Avenue. (1) On both sides, between Ward Street and Harbor Boulevard, measured 52 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) On both sides, between Harbor Boulevard and a point approximately 479 feet West of the center line of Fairview Street, measured 52 feet North and South of the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (3) On both sides, between a point 479 feet West of the center line of Fairview Street and a point 211 feet East of the center line of Gordon Place, measured 52 feet North and South of the construction center line of Edinger Avenue. (Reference diagrams 21-35 on file in the Department of Public Works). (4) On both sides, between a point 211 feet East of the center line of Gordon Place and Raitt Street, measured 52 feet North and South of the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (5) On the North side, between Raitt Street and Bristol Street, measured 40 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (6) On the South side, between Raitt Street and Bristol Street, measured 52 feet South of the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (7) On the North side, between Bristol Street and Magnolia Street, measured 40 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (8) On the South side, between Bristol Street and a point 145 feet East of the center line of Baker Street, measured 54 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (9) On the North side, between Sycamore Street and a point 196 feet East of the center lineof Main Street, measured 74 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (10) On the South side, between Sycamore Street and a point 153 feet East of the center line of Main Street, measured 30 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of Edinger Avenue. (11) On the South side, 52 feet from the survey center line, between Raitt Street and a point 1208 feet East of the center line of Raitt Street. SECTION 9271. (1) (2) 11. Main Street. On both sides, between the North City Limits and Third Street, measured 45 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (4) On the West side, between Warner Avenue and Dyer Road, measured 60 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (6) On both sides, between Dyer Road and Newport Avenue, measured 52 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.12. Walnut Street. (1) On both sides, between Raitt Street and a point approximately 500 feet East of Raitt Street, measured 42 feet from andat right angles to the survey center line. (2) On both sides, between Baker Street and Flower Street, measured 40 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (3) On both sides, between Maple Street and Minnie Street, measured 40 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.13. Harbor Boulevard. On both sides, between proposed Garden Grove Freeway and proposed San Diego Freeway, measured 60 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.14. Euclid Street. On both sides, between proposed Garden Grove Freeway and Slater Avenue, measured 52 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.15. Willits Bishop Street. On both sides, between Fairview Street and Standard Avenue, measured 42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.16. Warner Avenue. (1) On both sides, between Harbor Boulevard and Fairview Street, 52 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (3) On the South side, between the Pacific Electric Railroad and the East City Limits, 52 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION (1) on 9271.18. Santa Clara Avenue. the North side, between Broadway and Main Street, 45 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) On the South side, between Broadway and Main Street, 35 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (3) On both sides, between Grand Avenue and the East City Limits, 42 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (4) On the North side, 42 feet from the survey center line,between Glassell Avenue and Grand Avenue. SECTION 9271.19. Broadway. (1) On the West side , between First Street and Walnut Street, 38 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) On the East side, between First Street and Walnut Street, 42 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (3) On both sides, between Walnut Street and Main Street, 40 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.20. Standard Avenue. On both sides, between First Street and Warner Avenue, 40 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.21. Ritche¥ Street. On both sides, between McFadden Avenue and the Easterly extension of Edinger Avenue, 42 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.22. Fruit Street. On both sides, between French Street and Grand Avenue, 40 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 2971.23. Fourth Street. (1) On both sides, between Raitt Street and Santa Ana Freeway, 40 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) On both sides, between the Santa Ana Freeway and the East City Limits, 50 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. SECTION 9271.24. Eiqhth Street. (1) On both sides, between Fairview Street and Bristol Street, 42 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) On the North side, between Bristol and Baker Streets, 38 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. (1) From Flower Street to the West Corporate Limits, approximately 130 feet West of the center line of Townley Street, measured 50 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (2) On the North side, 50 feet from the survey center line, between a point 587 feet East of the center line of Bristol Street and the Santa Ana River. SECTION 9271.27. First Street - Bolsa Avenue. (1) On both sides between the West Corporate Limits and Harbor Boulevard, measured 60 feet North and South of the survey center line of Bolsa Avenue. (2) On the North side, between Harbor Boulevard and Townsend Street, measured 52 feet North of the survey center line. (3) On the South side, between Harbor Boulevard and Center Street, measured 52 feet South of the survey center line. (4) On the South side, between Center Street and the point where the South line of Walnut intersects the South line of First Street, measured 55 feet South of the survey center line of First Street. (5) On the North side, between Minnie Street and the Santa Ana Freeway, measured 33 feet North of the survey center line of First Street. (6) On the South side, between Minnie Street and the Santa Ana Freeway, measured 71 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line. (7) On both sides, between the Santa Ana Freeway and the East Corporate Limits, measured 52 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line of First Street. (2) On both sides, between a point 348 feet East of the center line of Orange and Newport Avenues, measured 50 feet North and South of the survey center line of Dyer Road. (3) On the North side, 52 feet from the survey center line, between Harbor Boulevard and the Santa Ana River. SECTION 9271.29. Sunflower Avenue. On the North side, 60 feet from the center line, between Bear Street and Bristol Street. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
