ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 627 FILED BY COVINGTON
BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 34-5-10 (E]~{IBIT AA 627 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 627, filed by
COVINGTON BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY for a change in District
classification from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and said
Commission, by its Resolution 5844, has recommended APPROVAL of said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 627 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said reclassification on published notice as required by law and
does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general
welfare require the following amendment, and that the use under the
new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of MacArthur
Boulevard intersects the center line of Fairview Street; thence
easterly along the center line of MacArthur Boulevard for a
distance of 217 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Fairview Street
for a distance of 309 feet, more or less; thence westerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of MacArthur
Boulevard for a distance of 217 feet, more or less, to the center
line of Fairview Street; thence northerly, along the center line
of Fairview Street for a distance of 309 feet, more or less, to
the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District,
and Sectional District Map 34-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 627 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of August, ~

the Council of the City of Santa Ana; that the foregoing Ordinance was

on the 15th day of July, 1968, and was again considered by said Council
at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of August, 1968, and at said
meeting was passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
