ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 524, FILED BY ARTHUR
B. PILANT, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
4-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 524 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held apublic hearing on Amendment Application No. 524, filed by
ARTHUR B. PILANT for a change in District classification from the
P District to the C-5 District, and said Commission has recommended
approval of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 524 A;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surround-
ing property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Deodar
Street intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street;
thence westerly along the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 210.7 feet, more or less; thence
northerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Deodar Street for a distance of 125 feet,
more or less; thence easterly along a lin~ approximately
parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 210.7 feet, more or less, to the center line
of Deodar Street; thence southerly along the center line
of Deodar Street for a distance of 125 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the P District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 4-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 524 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council at its regular meeting
held on the 4th day of January, 1965.

the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 21st day of December, 1964, and was again con-
sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 4th day
of January, 1965, and was at said meeting regularly passed and
adopted by the following vote, to wit:
