ON A~dEND~IENT APPLICATION l<[O. 523 FILED BY THE
IRVINE COI~IPANYAlqD ~iEi~DING SECTIONAL DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the Planning Co~m]ission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on ~mlendalent Application No. 523, filed by
THE IRVINE CO~JiPANY for a change in District classification from the
A-1 District to the M-1 District, and said Com~aission has rec~aended
reclassification to the ~4-1 District with the understanding that a
future reclassification to the ~4 District will be acc~plished on
this property when said Li.i District revision becomes available for
use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amen~aent and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Warner Avenue,
said point being 1320 feet, more or less, southeasterly
from the northwest corner of Section IRS-9; thence south-
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of the Newport Freeway for a distance of 1760 feet, more
or less; thence northwesterly for a distance of 1290 feet,
more or less, to the southerly right of way line of the
Newport Freeway; thence northeasterly along the southerly
right of way line of the Newport Freeway for a distance of
593.6 feet, more or less; thence southeasterly for a distance
of 1~ feet, more or less; thence continuing along the southerly
right of way line of the Newport Freeway for a distance of
950 feet, more or less, to the southerly right of way line
of Warner Avenue; thence southeasterly along the southerly
right of way line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 700.9
feet, more or less; thence northeasterly for a distance of
50 feet, more or less, to the center line of Warner Avenue;
thence southeasterly along the center line of Warner Avenue
for a distance of 595.7 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the M-1 District,
and Sectional District Map IRS-9 is hereby ~uended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 523 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of January, 1965.

Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 4th day of January, 1965, and was again con-
sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 18th day
of January, 1965, and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted
by the following vote, to wit:
