~/~ WHEREAS, the Planning Co~nission has given notice of and duly
~*~_a public hearing on ~en~ent Application No. 527, filed b~
-~TT C. ROGERS for a change in District classifications from the
R-l, C-l, and C-2 Districts to the C-5 District, and said Commission
has reco~ended approval of reclassification from the R-l, C-l, and
C-2 Districts to the C-5 and P Districts in accordance with ~hibit
~ 527 B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments and that the uses
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEP~EFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1: Beginning at that point where the center line of Broadway
intersects the center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence
northerly along the center line of Broadway for a distance
of 1000 feet, more or less; thence easterly from the center
line of Broadway for a distance of 40 feet to the westerly
property line of the subject property; thence southeasterly
along the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way for a
distance of 30 feet; thence southerly along a line approxi-
~ mately parallel to the center line of Broadway for a
~q~--~d~stance 0~-~-7~ feet, more or less; thence easterly along
-- a line approximately parallel to the center line of Santa
Clara Avenue for a distance of 282 feet, more or less;
thence southerly for a distance of 45 feet, more or less,
to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence westerly
along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance
of 337 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the P District, and
Sectional District Map 1-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 527 B.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 2: Beginning at a point on the center line of Santa Clara
Avenue located 337 feet, more or less, easterly from that
point where the center line of Santa Clara Avenue intersects
the center line of Broadway; thence northerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Broadway for
a distance of 45 feet, more or less; thence westerly along
the northerly boundary of Parcel 1,hereinabove described,
for a distance of 282 feet, more or less; thence northerly
~the east~r!¥ boundary° of Parcel 1, hereinabove
~ ~bed, for a distance f~9~ feet, more or less, to
the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way; thence south-
easterly along the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way
for a distance of 1090 feet, more or less; thence southerly
for a distance of 30 feet, more or less, to the center line
of Santa Clara Avenue; thence westerly along the center line
of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 258 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning,

is hereby reclassified from the R-i, C-i, and C-2 Districts to the
c-5 District, and Sectional District Map 1-5-10 is hereby amended
to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 527 B.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
fr~a and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of January, 1965.
