ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 535 FILED BY G. HOWARD
ROBERTSHAW AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
24-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 535 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 535 filed by
G. HOWARD ROBERTSHAW for a change in District classification from
the R-1 District to the C-2 District, and at said hearing it was
established that a C-5 zoning with an R-lB strip would be more
appropriate for this area ~nd said Commission has recommended approval
of Exhibit 535-B reclassifying the subject property from the R-1
District to the C-5, R-lB, and R-1 Districts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendments and that the use
under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel !:
Beginhing at a point on the center line of Warner Avenue
located 47.5 feet, more or less, easterly from that point
where the center line of Warner Avenue intersects the
center line of Van Ness Avenue; thence northerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Van Ness
Avenue for a distance of 163 feet, more or less; thence
easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 169.2 feet, more
or less; thence southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Van Ness Avenue for a
distance of 163 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Warner Avenue; thence westerly along the center line of
Warner Avenue for a distance of 169.2 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified fr~ the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to show said re-
classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 535 B.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parce.1 2: Beginning at a point located 163 feet, more or less,
northerly from the center line of Warner Avenue and 47.5
feet, more or less, easterly from the center line of
Van Ness Avenue, said point being the northwest corner of
Parcel 1, hereinabove described; thence northerly along
a line approximately parallel to~e center line of Van Ness
Avenue for a distance of 15 feet, more or less; thence
easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 105 feet, more or
less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Uan. Ness Avenue for a distance of
154.4 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Warner Avenue
for a distance of 64.2 feet, more or less; thence southerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Van Ness Avenue for a distance of 169.4 feet, more or less,
to the northeast corner of Parcel 1, hereinabove described;
thence westerly along the north line of said Parcel 1 for
a distance of 169.2 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified frc~ the R-1 District to the R-lB District, and
Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to show said re-
classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 535 B.
SEC'FION 3: The westerly portion of the property which is the
subject of this rezoning request shall remain in the R-1 District as
shown on Sectional District Map 24-5-10 ~Exhibit AA 535
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of April, 1965.
