HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-795ORDINANCE NS-795 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "HARBOR AND ~RNER WEST ANNEX" WHEREAS, on February 15, 1965, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution 65-25, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held on April 5, 1965, which hearing was regularly held; after final adjournment of said hearing on protests it was found and declared by Resolution 65-50 that a majority protest had not been made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: rI~at it finds and declares that said territory, hereirfbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution 65-25 was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California, said point being an angle point on the boundary of Talbert and Harbor N.W. Annex, Ordinance NS-328, said point being Nort~h 1° 19' 45" West 330.00 feet from the intersection of the East line of Harbor Boulevard, which is parallel wit'n and 40.00 feet East, measured at right angles, from the center line of said Harbor Boulevard, with the center line of Talbert Avenue, as said intersection is shown on a map recorded in Book 40, page 49, Records of Surveys, in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California; and running thence South 88a 45' 15" West along said City boundary 1360.00 feet more or less to the West line of the Southeast one quarter (SE¼) of the Southeast one quarter (SE ¼) of Section 28, Town- ship 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and to an angle point in said City boundary; thence North 1° 19' 45" West 990.00 feet along said City boundary to the Southwest corner of the Northeast one quarter (NE %) of the Southeast one quarter (SE %) of Section 28 and to an angle point on said City boundary; thence West along said City boundary and along the North line of the South one quarter (S~ ~) of Section 28 a distance of 960.00 feet more or less to the Easterly right of way line of the Santa Ana River through the Newbert Protection District and to an angle point in said City boundary; thence departing from said City boundary North 28° 19' 26" East along said Easterly right of way line 1510.00 feet, more.or less, to an angle point; thence North 28° 20' 49" East along said Easterly right of way line 2270.00 feet more or less to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly, having a radius of 23,093.33 feet; thence Northeasterly along the arc of said curve and along said Easterly right of way line through a central angle of 1° 24' 15" an arc distance of 565.96 feet to its intersection with a line which is 50.00 feet Northeasterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Harbor Boulevard as shown on a map recorded in Book 30, page 43, Records of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of said County, said point of intersection being an angle point on said City boundary as annexed by the croddyland Annex No. 1, Ordinance NS-184; thence South 18a 16' 42" East along said City boundary 239.23 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South 71° 43' 18" West along said City boundary 10.00 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South 18° 16' 42" East along said City boundary 160.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave westerly having a radius of 1040.00 feet; thence Southeasterly along the arc of said curve and along said City boundary through a central angle of 16° 56' 57" an arc distance of 307.65 feet to a tangent line; thence South 1° 19' 45" East 490.51 feet along said City boundary to a point in said City boundary said point being the Southwest corner of Lot 7, of Tract No. 1024, as shown on a map recorded in Book 33, Page 33 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence South 1° 19' 45" East along the West line of the Segerstrom Annex No. 2, Ordinance NS-205, and along said City boundary 1482.00 feet to a point in said City boundary; thence South 1° 19' 45" East along said City boundary and along the West line of Croddyland Annex No. 2, Ordinance NS-258, a distance of 100.00 feet to a point; thence South 1° 19' 45" East along said City boundary and along the West line of Segerstrom Annex No. 3, Ordinance NS-261, a distance of 2046.44 feet more or less to the point of beginning of this description, be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to Ward No. 4 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957 and 1958 Annexes". SECTION 3: ri~at this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
