DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION
NO. 553 INITIATED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-9 ( EXHIBIT
AA 553 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 553, initiated by
the PLANNING COMMISSION, proposing to prezone and establish district
classification from the County of Orange R-4 District to the City of
Santa Ana C-2 District, and said Commission has recommended APPP~VAL
of said prezoning and classification in accordance with Exhibit
A.A. 553 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANADOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS=
SECTION 1= That the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of First Street located
417.7 feet, more or less, westerly from that point where said
center line intersects the center line of Tustin Avenue as it
exists north of First Street; thence southerly for a distance of
183 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line appro~imately
parallel to the center line of First Street for a distance of
61 feet, more or less; thence southerly for a distance of 469.3
feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of First Street for a distance of
79 feet, more or less, to the Santa-Ana City boundary line; thence
northerly for a distance of 652.3 feet, more or less, along the
said Santa Ana City boundary line and to the center line of
First Street; thence easterly along the center line of First
Street for a distance of 140 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
iS hereby prezoned and classified from the County of Orange R-4
District to the City of Santa Ana C-2 District, and Sectional District
Map 17-5-9 is hereby amended to show said prezoning and classification.
SECTION 2: This prezoning and classification shall become
effective whensoever in the future the hereinabove described property
is annexed to the City of Santa Ana or thirty days from and after the
date of the adoption of this Ordinance, whichever shall be the later
date.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of June, 1965.
