ON AMENDMENTAPPLICATION NO. 592 FILED BY ARTHUR
C. DAVIS AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTP~ICTMAP
17-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 592 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning C~r~ission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on amendment application No. 592, filed by
ARTHUR C. DAVIS, for a change in District classification from the
R-1 District to the M-1 District, and said Co~,~ission has reco, u,ended
APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit 592 A;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the city of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a pOint on the center line of McClay Street, said
point being located 296.3 feet, more or less, southerly from that
pOint where said center line of McClay Street intersects the center
line of Chestnut Avenue; thence easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Chestnut Avenue for a distance of
496.9 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of McClay Street for a distance
of 240 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Chestnut Avenue for a
distance of 496.9 feet, more or less, to the center line of McClay
Street; thence northerly along the center line of McClay Street
for a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the M-1 District, and
Sectional District Map 17-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 592 A.
SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect thirty days
fr~ and after the date of its adoption.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of August, 1966.
