ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 594, FILED BY T. L. DUQUE,
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAPS 25-5-10 AND
36-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 594 C)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 594, filed by
T. L. DUQUE for a change in District classification from the A-1
District to the R-i, C-5, C-4, CR, and LM Districts, and said
Commission, by its Resolution 5785, has recommended approval of
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit 594 C; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require the following amendments and that the use under
the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 1:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Sunflower
Avenue, said point being located 202 feet westerly, more
or less, from the center line of Main Street; thence
westerly along the center line of Sunflower Avenue for a
distance of 2,388.5 feet, more or less, to the easterly
right of way line of the orange County Flood Control
Channel; thence northerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Main Street, for a distance
of 300 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Sunflower
Avenue for a distance of 600 feet, more or less; thence
northerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Main Street, for a distance of 726 feet,
more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Sunflower Avenue for a dis-
tance of 600 feet, more or less, to the easterly boundary
of the Orange County Flood Control Channel; thence northerly
along the easterly boundary of said Flood Control Channel
for a distance of 2,276 feet, more or less; thence easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Talbert Avenue for a distance of 550 feet, more or less;
thence northerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Main Street for a distance of 792 feet, more
or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of 550
feet, more or less, to the easterly boundary of the Orange
County Flood Control Channel; thence northerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street
for a distance of 692.7 feet, more or less, to the
Pacific Electric Railroad right of way; thence northeasterly
along said Pacific Electric Railroad right of way for a
distance of 1,044 feet, more or less; thence southeasterly
and easterly for a distance of 1,114.4 feet, more or less;
thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Main Street for a distance of 3,850.2 feet,
more or less; thence easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Sunflower Avenue for a
distance of 572 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Main Street; thence southerly along the center line of Main
Street for a distance of 1,267.9 feet, more or less; thence
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 202 feet, more
or less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 190 feet,
more or less, to the center line of Sunflower Avenue and
the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-1 District, and
Sectional District Maps 25-5-10 and 36-5-10 are hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 594 C.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 2:
(a) Beginning at that point on the center line of Main
Street where said center line is intersected by the center
line of Sunflower Avenue; thence westerly along the center
line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 202 feet, more
or less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 190 feet,~
more or less; thence easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Sunflower Avenue for a
distance of 202 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Main Street; thence southerly along the center line of
Main Street for a distance of 190 feet, more or less, to
the point of beginning;
(b) Beginning at a point on the center line of Main Street
located 1923.9 feet, more or less, northerly from that
point where the center line of Main Street intersects the
center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence westerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Talbert
Avenue for a distance of 202 feet, more or less; thence
northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Main Street for a distance of 404 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of 202 feet,
more or less, to the center line of Main Street; thence
southerly along the center line of Main Street for a
distance of 404 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning;
(c) Beginning at a point on the center line of Main Street
located 789.9 feet, more or less southerly from that point
where the southeasterly boundary line of the Pacific
Electric Railroad right of way intersects the center line
of Main Street; thence southerly along the center line of
Main Street for a distance of 380 feet, more or less; thence
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of 202 feet, more or
less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 380
feet, mo=e or less; thence easterly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Talbert Avenue for a
distance of 202 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Main Street, and the point of beginning;
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Maps 25-5-10 and 36-5-10 are hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 594 C.
SECTION 3: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 3:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Main Street
located 1457.9 feet, more or less, northerly fro~ that
point where said center line intersects the center line of
Sunflower Avenue; thence westerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Talbert Avenue for
a distance of 572 feet, more or less; thence northerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Main Street for a distance of 1630 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of 572 feet,

more or less, to the center line of Main Street; thence
southerly along the center line of Main Street for a
distance of 760 feet, more or less; thence westerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Talbert
Avenue for a distance of 202 feet, more or less; thence
southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Main Street for a distance of 404 feet, more or
less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of
202 feet, more or less, to the center line of Main Street;
thence southerly along the center line of Main Street
for a distance of 466 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the C-4 District, and
Sectional District Maps 25-5-10 and 36-5-10 are hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 594 C.
SECTION 4: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 4:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Main Street,
said point being located 1,169.9 feet, more or less,
southerly from that point where the center line of Main
Street intersects the southerly boundary line of the
Pacific Electric Railroad right of way; thence southerly
along the center line of Main Street for a distance of
2030.2 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line
approximately parallel to the cen~er line of Talbert
Avenue for a distance of 572 feet, more or less; thence
northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Main Street for a distance of 2220.2 feet, more or
less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance of
370 feet, more or less; thence southerly~along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street
for a distance of 190 feet, more or less; thence easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Talbert Avenue for a distance of 202 feet, more or less,
to the center line of Main Street and the point of
beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the CR District, and
Sectional District Map i 36-5-10 are hereby amended to
show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 594 C.
SECTION 5: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL 5:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Main
Street intersects the southerly boundary of the Pacific
Electric Railroad right of way; thence southerly along the
center line of Main Street for a distance of 789.9 feet,
more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Talbert Avenue for a distance
of 202 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street
for a distance of 190 feet, more or less; thence westerly
and northwesterly for a distance of 1484.4 feet, more or
less, to the southerly line of the Pacific Electric Railroad
right of way; thence northeasterly along the southerly
right of way line of the Pacific Electric Railroad right of
way for a distance of 1925 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the LM District, and
Sectional District Map 36-5-10 are hereby amended to show
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 594 C.

SECTION 6: That this Ordinance shall take effect~irty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of September, 1966.
