CATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 599 FILED
BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, AND AMENDING
SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 25-5-10, (EXHIBIT AA 599 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 599, filed by
the Board of Education for a change in district classification from
the M-1 District to the R-l, and said Commission by its Resolution
5798 has recomxaended approval of said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit AA 599 B, and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience,
and general welfare require the following amendments and that the
use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Hemlock
Way intersects the center line of Shelton Street; thence
easterly along the center line of Hemlock Way for a dis-
tance of 862.0 feet, more or less; thence southerly for a
distance of 12 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Segerstrom Avenue; thence westerly and southwesterly along
the center line of Segerstrem Avenue for a distance of
928.0 feet, more or less, to the center line of Shelton
Street; thence northerly along the center line of Shelton
Street for a distance of 326.3 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Hemlock Way and the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the R-2 District and
Sectional District Map 25-5-10 is hereby amended to show said re-
classification in accordance with Exhibit AA 599 B;
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.

at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of March, 1967.
