ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 631 FILED BY JOSEPH R.
CALLENS AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 36-5-10

WHEREAS, the Planning commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 631 filed by
JOSEPH R. CALLENS proposing to reclassify from the R-1 District to
the R-4 District the property hereinbelow described; and said
Commission, by its Resolution No. 5860, has recommended DENIAL of
said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 631 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said reclassification on published notice as required by law and
does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general
welfare require that said property be reclassified from the R-1
Dis ~ict to the R-4 District in accordance with Exhibit B of
Sectional District Map 36-5-10, and that the use under the new
classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of S~nta Ana,
County of Orange, State of california, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Sunflower Avenue
intersects the center line of Bristol Street; thence easterly
along the center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 637
feet, more or less; thence northeasterly for a distance of
63 feet, more or less, to the northerly boundary line of the
Orange County Flood Control District and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence westerly along said northerly boundary line of the Orange
County Flood Control District for a distance of 80 feet to the
easterly boundary line of the Orange County Flood Control District;
thence northerly along said easterly boundary of the Orange County
Flood Control District for a distance of 1080 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 1106.4 feet,
more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 194 feet,
more or less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Sunflower Street for a distance of 130 feet,
more or less; thence southerly for a distance of 30 feet, more or
less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 843.6 feet, more
or less, to the westerly boundary line of the Orange County Flood
Control District; thence southerly along said westerly boundary
line of the Orange County Flood Control District for a distance of
635.6 feet, more or less; thence southwesterly along a curve con-
cave northwesterly for a distance of 262 feet, more or less; thence
westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Sunflower Avenue for a distance of 1649.5 feet, more or less;
thence southwesterly for a distance of 119 feet, more or less, to
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-4 District, and
Sectional District Map 36-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 631 B.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
