ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 647 FILED BY D. C.
CASKEY AND R. E. DRINKGERN AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 (EXHIBIT A.A. 647-A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 647,
filed by D. C. Caskey and R. E. Drinkgern, proposing to reclassify
from the A-1 District to the R-4 District the property herein-
below described; and said Commission, by its Resolution No. 5888,
has recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit A.A. 647-A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the A-1 District to the R-4 District in accordance with Exhibit
A.A. 647-A, and that the new classification will not be detri-
mental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of california, described as:
That portion of Block A of the Chapman Tract surveyed
by Frank Lecouvreur in 1870, as shown on a map recorded
in book 102, page 15 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of
Fairhaven Avenue, 60.00 feet wide, as described in a
deed to the County of Orange, recorded in book 341,
page 331 of Deeds in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County, with the centerline of Glassell Street,
80.00 feet wide as described in the Final Decree of
Condemnation rendered November 5, 1935, in the action
entitled the People of the State of California, plaintiffs,
vs. Johanna Mueller and others, defendants, Case No.
33059 Superior Court of said County, a certified copy
of which decree was recorded November 7, 1935 in book
785, page 382 of Official Records of said County,
thence South 12° 45' 44" East, along said last mentioned
centerline 233.52 feet; thence at right angles North
77° 14' 16" East 40.00 feet to the True Point of
Beginning; thence South 12 45' 44" East, along the
Easterly line of said Glassell Street to the Southerly
line of the land described in deed to John Jacob Mueller,
recorded July 24, 1897 in book 31, page 61 of Deeds;
thence North 89° 56' 00" East along said Southerly line
to the Southeasterly corner of the land described in
said deed, thence Northerly, along the Easterly line of
said land of John Jacob Mueller to a point in the South-
erly line of said Fairhaven Avenue; thence South 89° 56' 00"
West along said Southerly line to the Northerly prolonga-
tion of the Easterly line of the land described in
Resolution No. 66-100, ordering the vacation of a portion
of Fairhaven Avenue as described in deed recorded November
12, 1965 in book 7737, page 482 of Official Records of
said County, a certified copy of said Resolution was
recorded July 8, 1966 in book 7984, page 423 of Official
Records of said County; thence South 00° 04' 00" East
along said Northerly prolongation and the Easterly line
of the land described in said Resolution, and its South-
erly prolongation 154.96 feet to a line perpendicular to
said Glassell Street that passes through the true point
of beginning; thence South 77° 14' 16" West along said
perpendicular line, 144.96 feet, more or less to the
True Point of Beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-4 District,
and Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 647-A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of August, 1969.

was introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held on the
22nd day of July, 1969, and was again considered by said Council at
its regular meeting held on the 4th day of August, 1969, and at
said meeting was passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
