CODE BY REPEALING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 2444 OF
PART 4, CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE II RELATING TO DOCUMENTARY
TRANSFER TAX
WHEREAS, during the 1969 Regular Session of the Legislature
certain amendments were made to the Documentary Transfer Tax,
which amendments should be reflected in the Santa Ana Municipal
Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Section 2444 of Part 4, Chapter 4, Article
II of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2: That Section 2444 of Part 4, Chapter 4, Article
II is hereby re-enacted to read as follows:
Section 2444. Governmental Agencies Exempt.
Any deed, instrument or writing to which the United States
or any agency or instrumentality thereof, any state or
territory, or political subdivision thereof, is a party shall
be exempt from the tax imposed pursuant to this Part when the
exempt agency is acquiring title.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of November, 1969.
