PROVIDING FOR UTILITY USER TAX
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance NS-1042 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby adopted as an
urgency measure by reason of the fact that the effective date of
the utility user tax is November 1, 1970 and this is November 2,
1970; and to avoid operation of Ordinance NS-1042 this repeal
must be effective forthwith and no collections by utility companies
shall be made pursuant to the utility user tax hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana as an emergency measure at its regular meeting held on the
2nd day of November, 1970, given first reading and passed to
second reading on said date and adopted as a regular ordinance at
its regular meeting held on the i6th day of November, 1970.

I, FLORENCE I. MALONE, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk
of the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the fore-
going Ordinance was regularly introduced to and considered by said
Council at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of November, 1970,
and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by said Council
as an emergency ordinance by the following vote, to wit:

COUNCILMEN: Herrim, Evaas, blarkel, Pattersoa, Yammmoto, Griset
NOES, COUNCILMEN: Villa
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Nome
I further certify that thereafter, at said regular meeting
held on the . 2nd day of November, 1970, the foregoing ordinance was
regularly introduced to and considered by said Council, was passed
to second reading and at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of
November, 1970 , was regularly passed and adopted by said Council
by the following vote, to wit:
