ORDINANCE NS-1053 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 663 FILED BY O. K. EARL
CORPORATION AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
8-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 663 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 663 filed by
O. K. EARL CORPORATION proposing to reclassify from the R-1
District to the R-4 District the property hereiD_below described; and
said Commission, by its resolution 5936, has recommended APPROVAL
of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 663 B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the R-1 District to the R-4 District and that the new classification
will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEP~EFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Williams
Street intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street;
thence southerly along the center line of Williams Street for
a distance of 645 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence continuing southerly along the center line
of Williams Street for a distance of 645 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of 17th Street for a distance of 388.6 feet, more or
less; thence southeasterly for a distance of 478 feet, more or
less; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 300 feet,
more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Fruit Street for a distance of 873.9 feet,
more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of
745.26 feet, more or less, to the center line of Fruit Street;
thence westerly along the center line of Fruit Street for a
distance of 388.9 feet, more or less; thence northwesterly for a
distance of 1,314 feet, more or less; thence northerly for a
distance of 644.8 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 804.3 feet, more or less, to the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-4 District,
and ~ectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 663 B.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of December
1970.
