ORDINANCE NS-1056 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 669 FILED BY 0. K. EARL
CORPORATION AND A~ENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
8-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 669 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 669 filed by
O. K. EAP~L CORPORATION proposing to reclassify from the R-1 District
to the C-5 and R lB Districts the property hereinbelow described;
and said Commission, by its Resolution 5939, has recommended
APPROVAL of reclassification from the R-1 District to the C-5
District in accordance with Exhibit AA 669 C; and
W~EREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said~roperty be reclassified from the
R-1 District to the C-5, R-lB, and R-4 Districts and that the new
classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION,ii: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 1:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Mabury Street
intersects the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence
southerly along the center line of M a bury Street for a distance
of 541.4 feet, more or less; thence easterly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street
for a distance of 727.7 feet, more or less; thence northerly
along a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Mabury Street for a distance of 546.1 feet, more or less, to
the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence westerly along
the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 727.7
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District,
and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 669 B.
SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 2:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Parcel 1, above described;
thence southerly for a distance of 100 feet, more or less;
thence westerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 597.7 feet,
more or less; thence northerly for a distance of 100 feet,
more or less; thence easterly for a distance of 597.7 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-lB District,
and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 669 B.

SECTION 3: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 3:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Parcel 2 above described;
thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Mabury Street for a distance of 270 feet, more
or less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 200
feet, more or less; thence northwesterly for a distance of
414 feet, more or less; thence westerly for a distance of
522 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-4 District,
and Sectional District Map 8-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 669 B.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the ~ day of December
1970.
