ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 676 FILED BY HENRY A. AND
ELVERA A. HOLTZ AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 5-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 676-A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 676, filed by
HENRY A. and ELVERA A. HOLTZ, proposing to prezone property
located at the southeast corner of Grovemont Street and Grand
Avenue from the A 1 District in the County of Orange to the R-1
District, and said Commission, by its Resolution 5945, has
recommended APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance with
Exhibit AA 676 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the A 1 District in the County of Orange to the R-1 District, and
that the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersections of the center lines of Fairhaven
Avenue and Grand Avenue; thence South along the center line
of Grand Avenue for a distance of 697.1 feet, more or less;
thence at right angles to said center line west 40 feet, more
or less, to the westerly right of way line of Grand Avenue
and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South along said
right of way 429 feet, more or less; thence east along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Fairhaven
Avenue for a distance of 658 feet, more or less; thence
north along a line approximately parallel to the center line
of Grand Avenue for a distance of 429 feet, more or less;
thence west along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Fairhaven Avenue for a distance of 657 feet, more or less,
to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
is hereby prezoned as being in the City of Santa Ana R-1 District,
and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show the
establishment of this prezoning and classification in accordance
with Exhibit AA 676-A.
SECTION 2: That this prezoning and classification shall
become effective whensoever in the future the hereinabove described
property is annexed to the City of Santa Ana or thirty days from
and after the date of the adoption of this Ordinance, whichever
shall be the later date.
PASSED ~ ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of January, 1971.
