ORDINANCE NS - 1097 CHANGING ZONING CLASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 688 INITIATED BY THE
PLANNING COMMISSION AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 30-5-9 (EXHIBIT A.A. 688-A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 688, ini-
tiated by the Planning Commission proposing to reclassify from
M 1 District to R 2 District the property hereinbelow described;
and said Commission, by its Resolution 5970, has recom~aended
approval of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit
A.A. 688-A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by
law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require that said property be reclassified
from the M 1 District to the R 2 District, and that the new
classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding pro-
perty;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersections of the center lines
of Em~ett Street and Halladay Street; thence south
along the center line of Halladay Street for a dis-
tance of 164.2 feet more or less to the true point
of beginning: thence easterly along a line parallel
to the center line of Emmett Street for a distance
of 838.4 feet more or less to the easterly boundary
of the City of Santa Aha; thence northerly along
said City boundary for a distance of 327.2 feet
more or less to the southerly right of way line
of the S.P.R.R.; thence westerly along said right
of way line for a distance of 838.4 feet more or
less to the center line of Halladay Street; thence
southerly along the center line of Halladay Street
for a distance of 326.2 feet more or less to the
true point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the M 1 District to the R 2 District
and Sectional District Map 30-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 688-A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the l~th day of ~v~mh~ ,
