ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 690 FILED BY HAROLD T.
SEGERSTROMAND HOWARD BEAR AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 35-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 690-A.)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 690, filed
by Harold T. Segerstrom and Howard Bear proposing to rezone
from the R 1 District to the R 4 District the property herein-
below described; and said Commission, by its Resolution 5978,
has recommended approval of said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit A.A. 690-A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law,
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the
R 1 District to the R 4 District, and that the new classification
will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of
Sunflower Avenue and Bear Street; thence west along
the center line of Sunflower Avenue, said center
line also being the south boundary of the City of
Santa Ana, for a distance of 342.5 feet more or less;
thence north 1° for a distance of 1335.1 feet more or
less to the center line of MacArthur Boulevard; thence
east along the center line of MacArthur Boulevard for
a distance of 1382 feet more or less; thence south 1°
16'05" east for a distance of 1230.4 feet more or less;
thence west along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of MacArthur Boulevard for a distance of
1042 feet more or less to the northerly prolongation
of the center line of Bear Street; thence south along
the northerly prolongation of the center line of Bear
Street for a distance of 98.7 feet more or less and
to the point of beginning.
is hereby reclassified from the R 1 District to the R 4 District
and Sectional District Map 35-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 690-A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17 day of January
1972.
