ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICA-
TION ~692 FILED BY HARVEY L. BEAR CHANGING
ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM R-1 TO R 1-PRD
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 35-5-10
(EXHIBIT 692-B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application ~692, filed
by Harvey L. Bear proposing to rezone property located on the
north side of Sunflower Avenue, between Bear and Greenville Sts.,
from the R 1 District to the R 4 District, and said Commission,
by its Resolution 5992, has recon~nended approval reclassifying
from R 1 District to the R 1-PRD District in accordance with
Exhibit A.A. 692-B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law,
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the
R 1 District to the R 1-PRD District, and that the new classifi-
cation will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of
Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue, said intersection
also being an angle point on the City of Santa Ana's
boundary; thence west along said boundary for a dis-
tance of 342' more or less to the True Point of Be-
ginning;thence continuing west along said boundary for
a distance of 939.6'; thence north 1329' more or less
to the centerline of MacArthur Blvd. as shown by S.P.S.A.
No. 40; thence east along the centerline of MacArthur
Blvd. for a distance of 939.6' more or less; thence
south 1329' more or less to the True Point of Begin-
ning.
is hereby reclassified from the R 1 District to the R 1-PRD
District and Sectional District Map 35-5-10, as revised, is
hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit A.A. 692-B.
SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in
some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption, except as herein specifi-
cally provided.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of
, 1972.
