AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION ~705
FILED BY SANTA ANA PLANNING COMMISSION TO REZONE
PROPERTY IN THE AREA BOUND BY WARNER AVENUE ~ RAITT
STREET,SEGERSTROM AND GREENVILLE STREETS ~ FROM
THE A 1 AND R 1 DISTRICTS TO THE R 1-PRD DISTRICT
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 26-5-10,
(EXHIBIT A.A. 705-A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 9705, filed
by the Santa Ana Planning Commission proposing to rezone the
property in the area bounded on the north by Warner Avenue; on
the east by Raitt and Wood Streets; on the south by the westerly
prolongation of Segerstrom Avenue; and on the west by Greenville
Street~ from the A 1 and R 1 Districts to the R 1-PRE District
and said Commission by its Resolution 96004 has recommended
approval reclassifying from the A 1 and R 1 Districts to the
R 1-PRD District in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 705-A and:
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said reclassification on p~blished notice as required by law, and
does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general
welfare require that said property be rezoned from the A 1 and R 1
District to the R i~PRD District and that the new classification
will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW~ THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Warner
Avenue and Greenville Street; thence east along the centerline of
Warner Avenue for a distance of 2071 feet, more or less; thence
south along a line approximately parallel to Greenville Street
for a distance of 1153.8 feet, more or less; thence west for a
distance of 16.7 feet, more or less, to the centerline of Raitt
Street; thence southerly along the centerline of Raitt Street
for a distance of 1784.4 feet more or less to the centerline of
Segerstrom Avenue; thence west along the centerline of Segerstrom
Avenue to a point approximately 75 feet west of the intersection
with the centerline of Townsend Street; thence southerly for a
distance of 52 feet; thence west to the centerline of Greenville
Street; thence north along the centerline of Greenville Street for
a distance of 2898 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
is hereby reclassified from the A 1 and R 1 Districts to the R 1-PRD
District and Sectional District Map 26-5-10 as revised, is hereby
amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit
A.A. 705-A.
SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in
some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption, except as herein specifi-
cally provided.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th .day of
September. , 1972.
