HEAD TO REZONE PRO- PERTY IN THE AREA GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THAT AREA ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF FIRST STREET BET- WEEN EUCLID AND COOPER STREETS FROM THE R 1 AND C 1 DISTRICTS TO THE C 5 DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-10 (EXHIBIT A. A. 713-B) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application #713, filed by Daniel W. Head proposing to rezone the property in the area on the south side of First Street between Euclid and Cooper Streets from the R 1 and C 1 Districts to the C 5 Dis- trict and said Commission by its Resolution #6012 has rec- ommended approval reclassify from the R 1 and C 1 Districts to the C 5 District in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 713-B and: WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said reclassification on published notice as required by law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the R 1 and C 1 Districts to the C 5 District and that the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding pro- perty; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Parcel 1 Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of First Street and Euclid Street; thence west along the centerline of First Street for a distance of 177 feet; thence south along a line approximately parallel to the centerline of Euclid Street for a distance of 177 feet; thence east along a line approxi- mately parallel to the centerline of First Street for a distance of 177 feet to a point on the centerline of Euclid Street; thence north along the centerline of Euclid Street for a dis- tance of 177 feet to the intersection of the centerlines of Euclid Street and First Street and the point of beginning. Parcel 2 Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of First Street and Euclid Street; thence west along the centerline of First Street for a distance of 177 feet and to the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing west along the last said-center- line for a distance of 73 feet; thence south along a line approx- imately parallel to the centerline of Euclid Street for a dis- tance of 235 feet; thence east along a line approximately para- llel to First Street for a distance of 250 feet to the centerline of Euclid Street; thence north along the centerline of Euclid Street for a distance of 58 feet; thence west along a line approximately parallel to First Street for a distance of 177 feet; thence north along a line approximately parallel to the cetnerline of Euclid Street for a distance of 177 feet to a point on the centerline of First Street and being tke True Point of Beginning. is hereby reclassified from the R 1 and C 1 Districts to the C 5 District and Sectional District Mapl7-5~10 as revised, is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 713~B. SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption, except as here- in specifically provided.
