ORDINANCE NS-1156
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT
APPLICATION NO. 714 FILED BY WILLIAM J.
LARDER TO REZONE PROPERTY IN THE AREA
GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THE SOUTH SIDE OF
STANFORD STREET BETWEEN PACIFIC AVENUE
AND RAITT STREET FROM THE R 1 DISTRICT
TO THE R 2 DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 23-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 714-A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of
and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application
#714, filed by William J. Larder proposing to rezone property
in the area on the south side of Stanford Street between
Pacific Avenue and Raitt Street from the R 1 District to the
R 2 District and said Commission by its Resolution #6021 has
recommended approval reclassifying from the R 1 to the R 2
District in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 714-A and:
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear-
ing on said reclassification on published notice as required
by law, and does now find that the public necessity, conven-
ience, and general welfare require that said property be re-
zoned from the R 1 to the R 2 District and that the new classi-
fication will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of
Pacific Street and Stanford Street; thence west along the
centerline of Stanford Street for a distance of 434.8 feet,
more or less, to the True Point of Beginning: thence con-
tinuing west along last said centerline for a distance of
132 feet, more or less; thence south along a line approxi-
mately perpendicular to the centerline of Stanford Street
for a distance of 142 feet, more or less; thence east along
a line parallel to the centerline of Stanford Street for a
distance of 132 feet, more or less; thence north along a
line perpendicular to the centerline of Stanford Street for
a distance of 142 feet, more or less, to the True Point of
Beginning.
is hereby reclassified from the R 1 District to the
R 2 District and Sectional District Map23-5-10 as revised,
is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit A.A. 714-A.

SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify
to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be
published in some daily newspaper printed and published in
the City of Santa Ana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day
of February , 1973.
