ORDINANCE NS-1167
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION 718
FILED BY JACK SAKIOKA, TOSHIKI SAKIOKA AND JOHNNY
SAKIOKA TO PHEZONE PROPERTY PHESENTLY UNINCORPORATED
FROM M 1 (IN ORANGE COUNTY) TO THE M 1 DISTRICT IN
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 29-5-9 (EXHIBIT A.A.718-A).
WHEREAS, the Planning Con~ission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application #718, filed
by Jack Sakioka, Toshiki Sakioka and Johnny Sakioka to prezone
property presently unincorporated and located on the west side
of the Newport Freeway, southeast of the intersection of Grand
and Warner Avenues, from M 1 (in Orange County) to the M 1 Dis-
trict in the City of Santa Ana, and said C~m~ission by its
resolution No. 6032 has recommended approval prezoning from
M 1 (in Orange County) to the M 1 District in the City of Santa
Ana in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 718-A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said prezoning on published notice as required by law, and
does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
M 1 (in Orange County) to the M 1 District in the City of Santa
Ana, and that the new classification will not be detrimental
to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Section 29,
Township 5 south, Range 9 west, said northwest
corner being the True Point of Beginning; thence
easterly along the north line of Section 29, said
north line also being the center line of Warner
Avenue, a distance of 1,088.85 feet, more or less;
thence southerly perpendicular to said north line of
Section 29 a distance of 51.39 feet to the southerly
line of the State of California right of way for the
Warner Avenue overpass over the Newport Freeway; thence
easterly along said southerly line a distance of 190.81
feet; thence northerly perpendicular to said southerly
line a distance of 15 feet; thence easterly parallel
to said southerly line a distance of 50.21 feet;
thence southerly perpendicular to said southerly line
through its various courses a distance of 293.62 feet,
more or less, to the northwesterly line of the State of
California right of way for the Newport Freeway; thence
southwesterly along said northwesterly line through its
various courses a distance of 2,061.18 feet, more or
less, thence westerly along the northerly line of the
State of California right of way for the Grand Avenue
offramp a distance of 155.90 feet; thence northwesterly
along last said right of way line for a distance of 35.36
feet to the east line of Grand Avenue; thence westerly
perpendicular to the center line of Grand Avenue, said
center line also being the west line of said Section
29, a distance of 30 feet; thence northerly along said
west line of Section 29, 1,593.26 feet to the True Point
of Beginning
is hereby prezoned from M 1 (in Orange County) to the
M 1 District in the City of Santa Ana, and Sectional Dis-
trict nap 29-5-9 is hereby amended to show said prezonino
in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 718-A.

SECTION 2: The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
in some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of
Santa Ana.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 25
of Ju~e , 1973.
