AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 741
FILED BY BERT WEBB AND KING MANOR, INC.,
REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE C2 (.GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT TO THE R2-PRD
(PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPmeNT) DISTRICT,
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 25J5-10
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of
and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 741,
filed by Bert Webb and King Manor, Inc. to rezone property
generally located on the north side of Central Avenue between
Bristol and Shelton Streets, from the C2 District to the R2-PRD
District, and said Commission has recommended approval of said
application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear-
ing on said reclassification on published notice, required by
law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience,
and general welfare require that the said property be reclassi-
fied from the CZ District to the R2-PRD District, and that such
new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, California, described as Parcel 1 as
shown on a map filed in Book 68, page 29 of Parcel Maps in the
Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, is
hereby reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial) District
to the R2-PRD (Planned Residential Development) District, and
that Sectional District Map 25-5-10 is hereby amended to show
said reclassification, in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 741-A
SECTION 2: Neither the adoption of this ordinance
nor the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect
the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations
were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be con-
strued as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance re-
lating to the collection of any such license or penalty or the
penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof, nor to
affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof,
required to be posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordi-
nance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining
shall continue in full force and effect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd
day of August , 1976.
