ORDINANCE NO. NS-1337
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 750 FILED BY H. VON
PACKARD AND FLOYD L. PACKARD REZONING PROPERTY
FROM THE C1 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT TO
THE R1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT, AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 10-5-10
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of
and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 750,
filed by H. Von Packard and Floyd L. Packard to rezone property,
generally located on the south side of Westminster Blvd. between
Fairview Street and Mar-Les Drive from the C2 (General Commercial)
District to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) District, and said
Commission has recommended approval of said application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear-
ing on said reclassification on published notice required by law,
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that the said property be reclassified
from the C2 (General Commercial) District to the R1 (Single-Family
Residence) District, and that such new classification will not be
detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, California, described as follows:
That portion of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 10, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as said Section is shown on
a map recorded in book 51, page 12 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records in the office Of the County Recorder of
said County, described as follows: Beginning at a point
on the North line of said Section, West 420 feet from
the Northeast corner thereof; thence South 436 feet par-
allel to the East line of said Section; thence West
100 feet parallel to the North Line of said Section;
thence North 436 feet parallel to the East line of said
Section to the North line of said Section; thence. East
100 feet along said North line to the point of beginning;
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the North 193 feet thereof,
is hereby reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial) District
to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) District, and that Sectional
District Map 10-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassifica-
tion, in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 750-A.
SECTION 2: Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor
the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect
the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations
were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be con-
strued as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance re-
lating to the collection of any such license or penalty or the
penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof, nor to
affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof,
required to be posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordi-
nance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining
shall continue in full force and effect.
