ORDINANCE NO. NS-1341
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 753 INITIATED BY THE
PLANNING COMMISSION REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE
R3-HDII, CI-HDII, C2-HDII, AND 0 DISTRICTS TO
THE SD (SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT, AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 12-5-10
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has initiated Amendment
Application No. 753 to rezone property generally located between
Ross, Van Ness, First, and Third streets from the R3-HDII, C1-HDII,
C2-HDII, and 0 districts to the SD (Specific Development) District,
and said Commission has recommended approval of said application
after notice and hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice required by law, and
does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general
welfare require that the said property be reclassified from the
R3-HDII, CI-HDII, C2-HDII, and 0 districts to the SD (Specific
Development) District, and that such new classification will not
be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, California, described as follows:
All that certain land situated in the State
of California, County of Orange, and being
that portion of Parcel 2, in the City of Santa
Aha, as shown on a Map filed in Book 31,
Page 42 of Parcel Maps, Records of said Orange
County and that portion of the Rancho Santiago
de Santa Aha, being a portion of the Southeast
quarter of Section 36, Township 4 South, Range
lO West, SBM described as a whole as follows;
Beginning at the most northwesterly corner
of said Parcel 2; thence S 0° 02m 48" E along
a westerly line of said Parcel 2 a distance
of 2511.39 feet to the most southwesterly corner
of said Parcel 2; thence N 89o 57~ 12" E along
a southerly line of said Parcel 2 508.40 feet;
thence leaving said southerly line N O~ 02m
48" W lO0.O0 feet; thence N 890 57' 12 E
715.00 feet; thence N 0° 02' 48" W to a point
in the certain southerly right of way.lin~
having a bearing and distance of N 78v 30'
25" E 254.95 feet and described in Book 5803,
Page 212 of Official Records of said Orange
County; thence S 78o 30m 25" W along said
last mentioned line and its southwesterly
prolongation a distance of 2~0.00 feet to
a point; thence southwesterly in a direct
line to the Point of Beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R3-HDII, C1-HDII, C2-HDII, and 0
Districts to the SD (Specific Development) District and that Sec-
tional District Map 12-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassi-
fication, in accordance with Exhibit A.~A. 753-A.

SECTION 2: Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor
the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect
the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations
were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be con-
strued as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance re-
lating to the collection of any such license or penalty or the
penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof, nor to
affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof,
required to be posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordi-
nance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining
shall continue in full force and effect.
