AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 754 FILED BY GRACE
ALBERTS REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE R2 (MULTIPLE-
FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT TO THE R1 (SINGLE-
FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 7-5-9
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of
and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 754,
filed by Grace Alberts to rezone property, generally located
on the north side of the Santa Ana Freeway, south of Seventeenth
Street, east of Lincoln Street, and west of Grand Avenue, from the
R2 (Multiple-Family Residence) District to the R1 (Single-Family
Residence) District, and said Commission has recommended approval
of said application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear-
ing on said reclassification on published notice required by law,
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that the said property be reclassified
fro~ the R2 (Multiple F~mily Residence) District to the R1 (Single-
Family Residence) District, and that such new classification will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: That the real property in the City of
Ana, County of Orange, California, described as follows:
Santa
(l) The westerly 150 feet of that certain parcel des-
cribed as: Commencing at a point in the center of Wash-
ington Avenue 198 feet East of the Southeast corner of
Block 24 of the "Town of Santa Ana East", as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 10, pages 43 and 44 of Miscel-
laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and
running thence East along the center of Washington
Avenue, 245.86 feet; thence North 645.95 feet; thence
East 136.6 feet; thence North 440.1 feet; thence West
588.18 feet; thence South 760.1 feet; thence East 198
fee~, and thence South 330 feet to the point of beqin-
ing, excepting all that portion thereof lying Sou~h-
westerly of the Southwesterly line of the land conveyed
to Anna M. Alberts by the State of California by deed
recorded October 7, 1957 in Book 4061, page 65 of Offi-
cial Records; and
(2) That certain parcel described as: Commencing at
the Southeast corner of Block 24 of the Town of Santa
Ana East, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 10, pages
43 and 44 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, said point being in the center of Washington
Avenue and running thence East 3 chains; thence North
5 chains; thence West 3 chains; and thence South 5 chains
to the point of beginning; excepting all that portion
thereof lying Southwesterly of the Southeasterly line of
the land conveyed to Anna Alberts, a widow, by deed re-
corded September 18, 1957 in Book 4040, page 593 of
Official Records.
is hereby reclassified from the R2 (Multiple-Family Residence)
District to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) District, and that
Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said re-
classification, in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 754-A.

SECTIO,N.2: Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor
the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect
the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations
were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be con-
strued as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance re-
lating to the collection of any such license or penalty or the
penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof, nor to
affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof,
required to be posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordi-
nance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining
shall continue in full force and effect.
