ORDINANCE NO. NS-1372
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
ESTABLISHING A F~D TO BE USED FOR MUSEUM
PURPOSES, AND PROVIDING FOR THE DEPOSIT
OF MONEYS THEREIN AND EXPENDITURES OF
MONEY THEREFROM.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by
adding Article III consisting of Section 13-20, 13-21 and 13-22
to Chapter 13 to read as follows:
ARTICLE III FUND FOR MUSEUM PURPOSES
Section 13-20. Creation of a Fund for Museum Purposes.
There is hereby created and established the Fund for
Museum Purposes.
Section 13-21. Deposit of Moneys.
The Board of Trustees of the Bowers Museum may, from
time to time transfer to the Fund for Museum Purposes all amounts
derived from gifts, devises and bequests of money to the museum
and all proceeds received from the sale of items considered by
the Bowers Museum Board of Trustees to be surplus to the collec-
tions of the museum.
Section 13-22. Expenditure of Moneys.
Moneys in the Fund for Museum Purposes shall be expended
for personal property, including necessary publications and ob-
jects of natural, historical, or artistic value. No expenditures
shall be made unless the requirements of Santa Ana Municipal
Charter Section 421 have been complied with.
