HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-1427RCS:ia 5/25/78 ORDINANCE NO. NS-1427 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 789 TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1806 E. SANTA CLARA FROM THE A1 (GENERAL AGRI- CULTURE) DISTRICT TO THE R1. CLASS II (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE-CLASS II) DIS- TRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP NO. 5-5-9 W/qEREAS, the real property located at 1806 E. Santa Clara in the City of Santa Ana and more particularly described infra, is located within the A1 (General Agri- culture) District, and WHEREAS, an application has been filed to amend Sectional District Map. No. 5-5-9 to rezone such real property to the R1-Class II (Single Family Residence-Class II) District, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 789 to rezone such real property from the A1 District to the Rl-Class II District and has recommended approval of said application, and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on said reclassification on published notice required by law and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that said property be reclassified from the A1 District to the R1-Class II District, and that the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and WHEREAS, prior to taking this action, the City Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in Negative Declaration No. 78-63, and, on the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant effect upon the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the real property situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, generally located at 1806 E. Santa Clara, and more particularly described on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby reclassified from the A1 (General Agriculture) District to the Rl-Class II (Single Family Residence-Class II) District, and that Sectional District Map No. 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 789-A. Section 2: Said property shall be designated as a Class II minimum lot area district, pursuant to LEGAL DESCRIPTION AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 789 Being a portion of the South Half of Section 5, Township 5 South, Range 9 West and further described as follows: Commencing at a point in the North Line of the South Half of Section 5, T.5.S., R.9.W. (said North Line also being the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue), said point also being the most northwesterly corner of Tract 3902 as shown on a map recorded in Misc. Maps Book 217, pages 15 and 16, in the Office of the Recorder, Orange County, California; thence, easterly along said line a distance of 272'~ to a point, said point also being the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing easterly along said last described line a distance of 263.76'~ to a point; thence southerly along a line perpendicular to said last described line a distance of 212'~ ; thence westerly along a line parallel to the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue a distance of 263.76'~ ; thence northerly along a line perpendicular to the centerline of Santa Clara Avenue a distance of 212'~ to the True Point of Beginning. Said parcel containing 1.28± acres. EXHIBIT A ORDINANCE NO. NS-1427 PAGE TWO Section 34-57 Santa Ana Municipal Code, requiring not less than 7200 square feet and a minimum lot width at the official setback line of not less than 60 feet.
