ORDINANCE NO. NS-1430
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT
APPLICATION NO. 792 TO REZONE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1250 EAST FIFTEENTH STREET,
SANTA ANA, FROM THE C5 (ARTERIAL
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT TO THE R2
(LIMITED MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL)
DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
MAP NO. 7-5-9
WHEREAS, the real property located at 1250 East
Fifteenth Street and more particularly described infra, is
located within the C5 (Arterial Commercial) District, and
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 792 has been
filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 7-5-9 to rezone
such real property to the R2 (Limited Multiple-Family
Residential) District, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice
of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Applica-
tion and has recommended approval thereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public
hearing on the said Amendment Application on published
notice required by law and does now find that the public
necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the
said property to be reclassified as requested in the said
Amendment Application, and that the new classification will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and
WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City
Council has reviewed and considered the information con-
tained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-80, and, on the
basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a
significant effect on the environment;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the
City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
generally located at 1250 East Fifteenth Street, and more
particularly described as follows:
The South 1.27 acres of the following:
Beginning at a point where the South line of land now
or formerly of Mary H. Rastede intersects the center
line of Grand Avenue, which point is 616.40 feet South
of a corner stone set in the center of 17th Street and
said Grand Avenue 300.00 feet; thence West 330.00 feet;
thence North 300.00 feet to a stake set at the South-
west corner of land now or formerly of Miss Rastede,
and thence East 330.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the East 40 feet as described in a
deed to the City of Santa Ana, recorded December 23,
1887 in book 363, page 92 of Deeds, records of Los
Angeles County, California.

is hereby reclassified from the C5 (Arterial Commercial)
District to the R2 (Limited Multiple-Family Residential)
District, and that Sectional District Map No. 7-5-9 is
hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance
with Exhibit AA 792-A.
