NS-1433 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 794 TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SEVENTEENTH STREET AND GRAND AVENUE FROM THE R1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL), R2 (LIMITED MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL), AND Cl (COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS) TO THE C5 (ARTERIAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 7-5-9 WHEREAS, the real property located at the southwest corner of Seventeenth Street and Grand Avenue and more particularly described infra, is located within the R1 (Single Family Residential), R2 (Limited Multiple Family Residential), and Cl (Community Commercial) Districts and WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 794 has been filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 7-5-9 to rezone such real property to the C5 (Arterial Commercial) District and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Applica- tion and has recommended approval thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on the said Amendment Application on published notice required by law and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the said property to be reclassified as requested in the said Amendment Application, and that the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City Council has reviewed and considered the information con- tained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-68, and, on the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, generally located at the southwest corner of Seventeenth Street and Grand Avenue and more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein as though fully set fort~ is hereby reclassified from the R1 (Single Family Residential), R2 (Limited Multiple Family Residential), and Cl (Community Commercial) Districts to the C5 (Arterial Commercial) District, and that Sectional District Map No. 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 794-A. the ADOPTED, this following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ATTEST: CLERK OF T~E APR OV S : 7th day of August , 1978, by COUNCiLMEN:Ward, Brandt, Bricken, Evans, Garthe COUNCILMEN :.
