ORDINANCE NO. NS-1449
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT
APPLICATION NO. 799 TO REZONE
PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 2200 N. BROADWAY, SANTA ANA
FROM THE R1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT
TO THE P (PROFESSIONAL) DISTRICT
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 1-5-10
WHEREAS, the real property located at 2200 North
Broadway and more particularly described infra, is located
within the R1 (Single Family Residence) District, and
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 799 has been
filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 1-5-10 to rezone
such real property to the P (Professional) District, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice
of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Applica-
tion and has recommended approval thereof, .and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public
hearing on the said Amendment Application on published
notice required by law and does now find that the public
necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the
said property to be reclassified as requested in the said
Amendment Application, and that the new classification will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and
WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City
Council has reviewed and considered the information con-
tained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-144, and, on the
basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a
significant effect on the environment;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the
City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California,
generally located at 2200 North Broadway, and more particu-
larly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incor-
porated herein as though fully set forth, is hereby re-
classified from the R1 (Single Family Residence) District
to the P (Professional) District, and that Sectional District
Map No. 1-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassification
in accordance with Exhibit AA-799-A.

Description:
All that certain land situated in the Stare'of California, CounZy
of Orange, City of Santa Ana, described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the South line of the Goodwin Tract and the
westerly right-of-way line of Broadway as shown on a record of survey
map recorded in Book 54 Page 40, in the office of the County recorder
of said county; thence North 89 42' 5?" West 160.00 feet to "the true
point of beginning."
Thence continuing along the South line of the Goodwin Tract, as per
map recorded inBook l, Page 26 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office
of the County Recorder of said County, North 89 42' 57" West 38.50
feet; thence North 00 50' 00" East 217.~2 feet; thence South 89 46'
15" East 48.50 feet; thence South 00 50' 00" West 12.~2 feet; thence
North 89 42' 57" West 10.00 feet; thence South 00 50' 00" West 205.00
feet to "the true point of beginning."
The herein described parcel contains 0.195 Acres.
