HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-1479REL:ms 2/1/79 ORDINANCE NO NS-1479 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 808 TO PREZONE PROPERTY LOCATED TO THE EAST OF THE SANTA ANA FREEWAY AND TO THE SOUTH OF THE GARDEN GROVE FREEWAY IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO THE O (OPEN SPACE LAND) AND C2-HD II (GENERAL COMMERCIAL - HEIGHT DISTRICT II) DISTRICTS, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP NO. 36-4-10. WHEREAS, the real property located to the east of the Santa Ana Freeway and to the south of the Garden Grove Freeway, and more particularly described infra, is presently in unincorporated territory of the County of Orange contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 808 has been filed by the City of Santa Ana, to prezone such real property, partly to the O (Open Space Land) District and partly to the C2 - HD II (General Commercial - Height District II) District, pursuant to Section 41-188 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Application and has recommended approval thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on the said Amendment Application on published notice required by law and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the said property to be classified as requested in the said Amendment Application, and that the said classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 78-256, and, on the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in unincorporated territory of the County of Orange, State of California, generally located to the east of the Santa Ana Freeway and to the south of the Garden Grove Freeway, and more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein as though fully set forth, is hereby prezoned partly to the 0 (Open Space) District and partly to ORDINANCE NO. NS-1479 PAGE TWO the C2 - HD II (General Commercial - Height District II) District, and that Sectional District Map No. 36-4-10 is hereby amended to show said classifications in accordance with Exhibit AA 806-A.
