ORDINANCE NO. NS-1555
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 838 TO REZONE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2201 TO 2225 SOUTH PACIFIC
AVENUE, FROM THE C2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL)
DISTRICT TO THE R4 (SUBURBAN APARTMENT) DISTRICT
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 23-5-10.
WHEREAS, the real property located at 2201 to 2225
South Pacific Avenue, and more particularly described infra,
is located within the C2 (General Commercial) District, and
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 838 has been filed
to amend Sectional District Map No. 23-5-10 to rezone such
real property to the R4 (Suburban Apartment) District, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of
and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Application
and has recommended approval thereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public
hearing on the said Amendment Application on published
notice required by law and does now find that the public
necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the
said property be reclassified as requested in the said
Amendmen%~ Application, and that the new classification will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and
WHEREAS, prior to taking this action the City Council
has reviewed and considered the information contained in
Negative Declaration, I. S. No. 80-124, and on the basis
thereof finds that the project will not have a significant
effect on the environment,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the City
of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, generally
located at 2201 to 2225 South Pacific Avenue, and more
particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and
incorporated herein as though fully set forth, is hereby
reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial) District to
the R4 (Suburban Apartment) District and that Sectional
District Map No. 23-5-10 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 838-A.
