ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1620
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
TO APPROVE AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 869
TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 901 CIVIC
CENTER DRIVE WEST FROM THE R1 (SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT TO THE CD
(CIVIC DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT AND AMENDING
SECTIONAL MAP NO. 12-5-10.
WHEREAS, the real property located at 901 Civic
Center Drive West, and more particularly described infra,
located within the R1 (Single Family Residence) District,
is
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 869 has been
filed to amend Sectional District Map No. 12-5-10 to rezone
such real property to the CD (Civic Development) District,
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice
of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment
Application and has recommended approval thereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public
hearing on the said Amendment Application on published
notice required by law and does now find that the public
necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the
said property be reclassified as requested in the said
Amendment Application, and that the new classification will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property, and
WHEREAS, prior to taking this action, the City
Council has reviewed and considered the information
contained in Negative Declaration, I.S. NO. 81-167, and, on
the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a
significant effect on the environment;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN that the real property situated in the
City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
generally located at 901 Civic Center Drive West, and more
particularly described as Lots 25 and 32 of Tract 455, as
recorded in Book 17, Page 8, of Miscellaneous Maps in the
office of the Orange County Recorder, Records of Orange
County, is hereby reclassified from the R1 (Single Family
Residence) District to the CD (Civic Development) District
and that Sectional District Map No. 12-5-10 is hereby
amended to show said reclassification in accordance with
Exhibit A.A. 869-A.
