ORDINANCE NO. NS-1712
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF HOBART STREET
AND OAK STREET FROM THE R1 (SINGLE FAMILY,
RESIDENCE) DISTRICT TO THE R1-PRD (SINGLE-
FAMILY RESIDENCE - PLANNED RESIDENTIAL
DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 889 has been filed
to make certain changes in the zoning district designations of
certain real property, as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after duly noticed
public hearing, has recommended approval of the changes in use
district designations as proposed~in said Amendment Application;
and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to adopting this ordinance,
has reviewed the initial environmental study prepared for this
project, and has approved the Negative Declaration for this
project based thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hear-
ing, has determined that the changes in use district designations
proposed in the abovesaid Amendment Application are justified by
the public necessity, convenience and general welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
1. Those parcels of real property located generally on
the southeast corner of Hobart Street and Oak Street in the
City of Santa Ana, and more speacifically described as follows:
THE EAST 341.00 FEET OF THE WEST 407.00 FEET
OF THE NORTH 401.00 FEET OF THAT PORTION OF
THE LAND ALLOTTED TO FoW. KOLL AS DESCRIBED
IN THE FINAL DECREE OF PARTITION OF THE RANCHO
SANTIAGO DE SANTA ANA, WHICH WAS ENTERED
SEPTEMBER 12, 1860 IN BOOK "D", PAGE 410 OF
JUDGMENTS OF THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE 17TH
JUDICIAL DISTRICT IN AND FOR SAID COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

are hereby reclassified from the Ri (Single Family Residence)
District to the R1-PRD (Single-Family Residence)- Planned
Residential Development )District.
2. An amended Sectional District Map No. 19-5-9 showing
the abovedescribed changes in use district designations is
hereby adopted.
