NS- 1754 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ADDING SECTION 21-10 TO THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE AND AMENDING SECTION 21-72a THEREOF TO REVISE THE BUSINESS LICENSE TAX ON VENDING MACHINES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered 21-10, which said section reads as follows: Sec. 21-10. Listings of.vending machines. Any person in the business of maintaining coin-operated amusement or product vending devices in the City of Santa Ana shall file a listing of all such devices, specifying their type and location, with the director of finance prior to November 10 of each year. SECTION 2: That Section 21-72a of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: Sec. 21-72a. Advertising services, ambulance companies, amusement services, auctioneers. (1) Advertising Service: (a) Distributing samples or posting bills ................. $100.00 A (b) Using vehicle containing amplifier or loudspeakers ..... 100.00 A (c) Using amplifier or loud- speakers to advertise user's own business only ............ 30.00 A (2) Ambulance Company: (a) 1 or 2 vehicles, per vehicle... 100.00 A 3 or more vehicles ............. 300.00 A ORDINANCE NO. Bowling alleys, pool halls and billiard parlors, per alley or table ......... ~ .................... Boxing or wrestling exhibitions .... Per device, under $0.05 ............. 25.00 250.00 A 25.00 A 50.00 A 50.00 D 250.00 D 150.00 D 20.00 A 5.00 A (4) Auctioneer .............................. 350.00 A or ....................................... 50.00 D SECTION 3: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana herby declares that it would have adopted this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or uncon- stitutional. NS- 1754 PAGE THREE SECTION 4: Neither the adoption of this Ordinance nor the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance relating to the collection of any such license or penalty or the penal provision applicable to any cash deposit in lieu thereof, re- quired to be posted, filed or deposit pursuant to any ordinance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining shall continue in full force and effect.
