ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1781
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1421 LA BONITA STREET
FROM THE Ri-(SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT
TO THE R2-PRD (MULTIPLE FAMILY-PLANNED
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 923 has been
filed to make a certain change in the zoning district desig-
nation of certain real property as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after duly noticed
public hearing, has recommended disapproval of the change in use
district designation as proposed in said Amendment Applica-
tion; and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to adopting this ordin-
ance, has reviewed the initial environmental study prepared for
this project, and has approved the Negative Declaration for
this project based thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hear-
ing, has determined that the change in use district designation
proposed in the abovesaid Amendment Application is justified
by the public necessity, convenience and general welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana does ordain as follows:
1. That parcel of real property located generally at
1421 La Bonita in the City of Santa Ana, and more specifically
described as set forth on Exhibit A, attached hereto and
incorporated herein is hereby reclassified from the R1
(Single Family Residence) to the R2-PRD (Multiple Family-
Planned Residential Development) District.

2. An amended Sectional District Map No. 9-5'10 showing
the abovedescribed change in use district designation is hereby
adopted.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Ail tha,t certain real property situated in the City of Santa
Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as
follows:
That portion of the Northwest quarter of Section 9, Township
5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, City of
Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as per map
recorded in Book 51, page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said county, bounded Northerly
by the Southerly line of the lands described in Deed recorded
in Book 9107, page 164, Official Records of said county;
bounded Easterly by the Westerly boundary of Tract No. 3523,
as per map recorded in Book 125, pages 22 and 23 of Miscella-
neous Maps, records of said Orange.County and its Southerly
prolongation; bounded Southerly by the Northerly boundary of
Tract No. 2465, as per map recorded in Book 90, pages 31 to
33 ~nclusive of said Miscellaneous. Maps~ bounded Westerly by
the following described line:
Beginning at the most Easterly Southeast corner of Tract No.
6588, as per map recorded in Book 252, pages 11 to 13 inclusive;
thence Northerly along the most Easterly line of said Tract
No. 6588 North 0" 29' 53" West 410.67 feet to a non-tangent
curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 50.00 feet,
to which a radial line bears South 08" 47' 39" East; thence
Northeasterly and Northerly along said curve through a central
angle of 81" 42' 14", an arc distance of 49.91 feet to a
tangent line, said tangent line being the East line of La
Bonita Street as shown on said Tract No. 6588; thence North
0" 29' 53" West along last said East line to the Southerly
line of the said lands described in said Deed recorded in
Book 9107, page 164. ·
